There are so many interesting things to put in a sand box. Why sand? This week we used bird seed again. The children love it. It has such a neat feeling as it runs through your fingers. We added plastic bugs, magnifying glasses, tweezers and a book about bugs. Notes pads and pencils would have also been a great thing to add to our bird seed box.

Summer is here!

Here is a breakdown of some of the super fun activities that we have done so far this week.

Monday
Summer is a wonderful time to explore Gods magnificent creation. We read Fancy Nancy Explorer Extraordinaire  By Jane O'Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser. Then we went outside with a note pad and a pencil  and wrote down all of the creatures that we could find right in our back yard. They found lizards, toads, pill bugs, birds, snails and a butterfly.

In the afternoon we went to the beach. The kids had a blast racing through the water, playing in the sand and exploring Gods amazing underwater creatures. I look forward to many beach days with my amazing children.

Tuesday
We brought lunch to a friends house and got to play with lots of little babies, eat popsicles and play in the sprinkler. Together we had 13 children. WOW!!

Wednesday
We went to the movies. Summer movie camp is no longer free. It is now a dollar a person. That is okay. I took seven kids to the movies for 23 dollars. This included tickets, popcorn, soda and juice. Here is the link to find dollar movies in your area.
